Eggs, Lamb and Waffles

Waffle and pancakes are something’s that you are bound to get in practically every breakfast diner you come across. Keeping aside that most of these places do not come close in keeping with health requirements, the food they offer is packed with calories. Waffles and pancakes although not as unhealthy on their own are usually tossed with a generous helping of eggs, meaning that your simple breakfast packs as many calories as an equivalent cheeseburger. They say that you should eat breakfast like a king, many experts also stress that breakfast is the most important meal of the day but constantly stuffing yourself with plates after plates of high calorie food only takes you down one road, not a pretty one I can assure you. The recipe we are about to give you find seem just a tad weird but we can assure you that they are packed with flavors, guaranteed to rival any breakfast dish you can get at your local diner.

What you would need:

  1. 4 thick slices of Lamb (Any Meat Cuts)
  2. 4 eggs
  3. 4 frozen waffles
  4. Preferably two table spoons of maple syrup (It could vary depending on every individuals taste)
  5. Salt and black pepper can be added to enhance the taste
  6. Also parsley is another option to go for, although it is not recommended

Start off by heating a non-stick skillet or pan until the pan is ready, make sure you do not use high-pressure heat because medium heat is recommended. Coat the pan with a hint of olive oil, although make sure the oil is properly distributed among the pan. Add the slices of lamb that you have brought, keep on cooking the lamb until it reaches a good brown color. To lubricate the pan further add another coating of olive oil, also add two eggs at a time to the pan; this will prevent the pan from overcrowding and your flavors to mix up. Sunny side should be up until the whites have settled and make sure the yolk is runny, if it gets hard it will greatly hamper the overall flavor of the dish. On the side toast waffles and top each of the waffles with a side of meat, a drizzle of maple syrup and a sprinkling of cheddar should also be done.

Spinach Omelet

When you think of an omelet you probably get flashbacks of watching your mom flip an omelet for you in the pan while you get ready for school. Many people will also probably imagine an omelet overflowing with cheese and onions; these types of omelets usually contain a high percentage of calories and are have a deep and adverse effect on your health. What probably is even more concerning is that for those people who regularly have breakfast in the morning, the omelet had become sort of a staple for their diet. This has brought upon unprecedented changes in the lifestyle of people and has also robbed them of proper nutrition; maybe that’s why the image of the omelet in the minds of people has to some extent been tarnished over the years. The recipe we are about to give you is a much healthier alternative to the omelets filled with cheese, this recipe is healthy, easy to make and to top it all of, tasty.

It is advisable to use a non-stick pan; if such a utensil is not available then a medium sized skillet should thoroughly be coated with a non stick spray to get the desirable result

Finely chop the main ingredient of this dish, which is the spinach and then proceed to sautéing the 1 tablespoon of spinach with one tablespoon scallion, this process shouldn’t take more then one minute

Also it is important that you finely beat two eggs and then mix them into the skillet, after you have accomplished that then you need to add a dash of Tabasco (depending on your own individual taste)

For about two minutes cook the eggs in the skillet and be vary of the fact when the egg will properly be cooked through (again shouldn’t take longer then two minutes)

Grate Parmesan on the side and then add two tablespoons of Parmesan after it has been finely grated, then keep on flipping the skillet, keep cooking this for a minimum of 15 seconds and a maximum of 20 seconds

Serve with one slice of toast (this adds to the overall balance and flavor of the dish) and then add either two or one and a half tablespoon of grapes (One and a half tablespoon is preferred but again it depends upon taste)

You should then have prepared a healthy meal, which is a great alternative to cheesy and high calorie omelets that are predominately served.

More breakfast eggs combinations

Also, try these flavourful combinations for a healthy breakfast meal. Eggs, goat cheese and diced apples give you this sweet and tasty early morning start. You can also have yogurt with fresh strawberries and scrambled eggs. Make sure you don't cook yogurt with eggs. Here is my favourite egg combination that gives you perfect balanced breakfast

Here is my favourite egg combination that gives you perfect balanced meal for breakfast. Eggs, cauliflower, cucumber, bell pepper, tomatoes, coriander, cheese, salt and black pepper. Cook all vegetables hint of butter before adding eggs. Don't overcook anything just a little heat.
